Seeing as I'm looking to get into scriptwriting I thought I would take a look at probably its most well known related organization. The Writer's Guild of Great Britain is a trade union that represents writers in T.V, radio, theatre, books, poetry, online, video games and film. They negotiate minimum terms and practice agreements for writers. As a member you get a range of excellent benefits like the guild's pension scheme and a free contract vetting service. In general though the guild-especially via the website and podcasts-is a forum for news, discussion and just a general coming together of like minded people.
